Verdant Landscaping
Shari founded Verdant Landscaping in 1997, after 15 years in the computer industry. During
this time, she earned her degree in Landscape Design & Planning from Pierce College. She
has held a C-27 California Landscape Contractors License for the past ten years. She is past
president of the local chapter of the California Landscape Contractor's Association (CLCA)
and currently serves as Director of Legislation on the State Board. CLCA is a Landscape
Trade Association which promotes professionalism and advances public awareness of the
landscape industry. As a designer/builder, Shari has won numerous awards for her projects
through the CLCA’s annual Beautification Program. Shari is also a member of the Association
of Professional Landscape Designers.

Paul has been part of Verdant Landscaping since 2006. His responsibilities include creating
contracts, billing and estimating. He also designed and maintains the company website.

Princess took her position with Verdant in 2004. Her primary responsibility is visiting the job sites
and entertaining the crew and clients. Small in stature but not in attitude, she is also a first class
guard dog. She tirelessly (except when she is taking a nap) protects the company vehicles from
any possible harm while on duty at the jobsite.

Joe has over 10 years experience in the landscaping industry, and became the second member of
the team in 1999. He supervises a crew of up to four members. Joe is certified in gas line and
lighting installation. He is also qualified to install the new water conserving WeatherTrac irrigation
controller. Joe is currently studying to become Certified Landscape Technician through the
California Landscape Contractor's Association. When he completes the course, Joe will have
been tested and certified by the state association of licensed professional landscape contractors
to install and supervise all facets of landscape construction.

Arturo is an artistic, creative professional who has been with Verdant since 2004. Working with
decorative concrete, flagstone, brick, pavers, Saltillo and all types of decorative tile, he creates
custom bar-be-ques, fountains, fireplaces, decks and patios. Some of his work is featured on this
website. A perfectionist who accepts nothing but the best from himself and his crew, his work is
even admired by other masonry contractors!
